I have been guiding teens for nearly a decade, and as a registered Maine recreation guide, safety is my first priority; after that... making memories!
As an all-season guide service, I will get you outdoors in all types of weather and conditions: Nordic skiing/snowshoeing on frozen lakes, hiking mountains during foliage or stick season, camping on the shores of some of the most serene and sometimes turbulent lakes, and/or floating rivers that change with each new season.
Whether you are simply 'outside' curious or an outdoor enthusiast, I know for certain you will not soon forget what a magical experience outdoor adventure truly is!

About
Tammy Long, Registered Maine Guide
As a child of the 70’s and 80’s, I spent a lot of time outdoors and my family’s idea of a ‘vacation’ was to spend ten days somewhere off a logging road in Jackman, Maine and live out of an old army surplus tent. I learned how to cook brook trout over an open fire and avoid being carried off by the moose flies.
Through my twenties I learned to climb mountains, rock and ice, and I fell in love with paddling. In my thirties I taught my children to cross-country ski, paddle the river and icefish and in my late forties I became a registered Maine recreation guide, taking students into the western Maine mountains; hiking, snowshoeing, paddling and camping during my years as a public school teacher.
Now I am embarking on a new chapter, taking my lifetime of outdoor experience and my passion for this place I love, to start my very own guide service… I hope you will join me!
